City Council Meeting-May 9, 2025
Response to Public Comments – LCI Study and City Signage Ordinance
Thank you to the residents who provided comments during the recent City Council meeting regarding the Connectivity and Gateway Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study and the city’s signage ordinance.
We’d like to provide the following updates:
LCI Study Update:
As part of our ongoing review and refinement process, Page 63 of the LCI study document has been updated to ensure accuracy and alignment with the city’s vision and community feedback. The revised page has been incorporated into the final version of the study.
Signage Ordinance and Downtown Overlay District:
Please be advised that an application has been submitted for a text amendment to the City’s existing signage ordinance. This amendment specifically addresses signage standards in the Downtown Overlay to better reflect the evolving identity and goals of our community.
In addition, the City will be conducting a comprehensive sign audit to assess current signage across Fairburn. This effort aims to promote consistency, support local business visibility, and enhance the overall visual appeal of our city.
