Third Fridays Begin with Hallelujah! Gospel Fest Set to Uplift Fairburn’s City Center

Fairburn, GA — April 15, 2025 — The City of Fairburn is turning up the volume with the launch of its new Third Fridays on Main Street concert series, starting with an unforgettable night of soul-stirring music at Gospel Fest on Friday, April 18 from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Fairburn City Center (320 NW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213).

 Gospel music legends Vickie Winans, Byron Cage, Y’Anna Crawley, BKC, The Clark Brothers, and the Temple of Prayer Choir will grace the stage in a praise-filled evening hosted by celebrity emcees Michelle Taylor-Willis and Casual Cal.

“Our Third Friday series was created to bring people together and highlight the diversity and talent within our region,” said Mayor Mario B. Avery. “We are thrilled to launch with a celebration of faith, family, and music that reflects the spirit of our community.”

 The Gospel Fest is a free public event and marks the beginning of a seasonal lineup of concerts and cultural programming happening every third Friday through the fall.

 Residents should be advised of the following road closures beginning at 3:00 PM:

  • Barton Street (from Hwy 29 to Fairview Drive)
  • Fairview Drive
  • Estes Street (Hwy 29 to Fairview Drive)

Parking is available via Estes Drive and Shaw Drive. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfort.
