The City of Fairburn uses Fulton County Emergency Communications Center which handles 9-1-1 calls and dispatches emergency services responders. The state-of-the-art center also answers 9-1-1 calls for the City of South Fulton, Chattahoochee Hills, Union City, Palmetto, and unincorporated Fulton County. If you have a need for police, fire, or emergency medical service, and you have the option, dial 9-1-1 from your landline which is wired to provide location data to the 9-1-1 center allowing a timelier response to emergency situations. If you are calling from your cell phone, be sure to confirm your location with the call-taker.
Additionally, in coordination with Fulton County, Fairburn is now using the FALCON system to distribute emergencies to residents and businesses. FALCON is a telephone communication service that allows us to quickly notify citizens about emergency situations.
All residents are being encouraged to review and update their information, or to register for the system.

The FALCON system to notify citizens about emergencies such as:
Severe Weather - severe weather warning notifications will be issued within seconds after being issued by the National Weather Service. Weather notifications are issued for the immediate threats of:
- Severe Thunderstorm Warnings
- Flash Flood Warnings
- Tornado Warnings
Other emergencies include:
- Evacuation notice and route
- Gas Leaks- Amber Alerts
- Drinking water contamination
- Utility outage
- Fires- Bomb threat
- Hostage situation
- Chemical spill or gas leak
- Other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential.

For residents without internet access, please call the Fulton County Department of Emergency Communications non-emergency phone line at 404-730-7900 during normal business hours and an Emergency Communications staff will assist in the registration process.
