Criminal Investigative Division

The Criminal Investigations Division, along with Support Services Division, is commanded by a Captain. The Criminal Investigations Division is led by a Lieutenant, which consists of Detectives and Special Operations Units.  Each unit is supervised by a Sergeant.  The detectives conduct in-depth criminal investigations on reported crimes that have occurred within the City of Fairburn. The unit also performs forensic evidence collection and processing, while safeguarding evidence and property. This team also coordinates with local, state and federal agencies to accomplish tasks associated with enforcement, prosecution and asset forfeiture.  The Special Operations Unit conducts specialized patrols aimed at deterrence of felony criminal activity, as well as narcotics and gang investigations.
